About Variability, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity

Abstract
This issue discusses how humanities and social science research is intrinsically important and indispensable in the context of VUCA, the uncertain and difficult to predict social situation created by advanced science and technology. It also explains that interdisciplinary research is the most effective approach to humanities research in the VUCA era, and that there are many different types of approaches. From this perspective, the published articles and research projects are presented.
