Special Lecture on Bhuddism

A special lecture entitled "the Body Theory Seen in the Buddhist Pictures: About Illustrations of the Five Positions in the Womb" was given by Dr. Lucia DOLCE (Chair, Center for the Study of Japanese Religions, SOAS, University of London) at Room 107, Laboratory of Advanced Research A, University of Tsukuba, on July 6, 2012. It was organized and sponsored by the Pre-Strategic Initiative Project "Centre of Research for Development in Japanese Language, Culture and Society". The illustrations in question represent an image of human birth and human body and therefore should be more discussed in various related fields such as religious studies, body theories, etc. in the future.
